The last few days Sweetums has been really busy working job number 2, even though he was off from job number 1. He’s been getting up early, save for the last 2 days, and I haven’t got to spend that much time with him. Last night Princess’ boyfriend had some car issues, so they brought the car over for Sweetums to look at. After that was done, we had a few drinks, and played a few games of pool. Amazingly, since Sweetums fucked up a few times, I beat him. Sadly, because my first two drinks were really strong, it was kind of like I looked at the table, realized I only had one ball left, and went WTF? How the hell did that happen? because normally when playing him, I get one or two in, and then he pretty much runs the table on me. Anyway, he scratched trying to put the eight in, so I got ball in hand and I won. Amazing! *giggles* I thought so and am all kinds of proud of myself.
Today I got up, smoked a cig, kissed Sweetums goodbye, and went into Palmdale to go to the bank for my weekly money, plus cash to pay my car insurance this month. Its due on Friday. I got my money for the week out, and went to CostCo, bought about $65.00 worth of food that will keep for freaking ever, and stuff that we actually use, and then went to Food4Less to pick up things that will actually go bad if we can’t use a ton of it right away. Cheese will keep a long time, but really the only kind of cheese that CostCo has that’s pre-sliced is American and I don’t like American cheese. I picked up some cheese, bread, raspberry preserves (my blackberry jelly is about gone), and a bunch of pasta and rice mixes along with some tuna and hamburger helper since I bought tuna at CostCo, we may as well have something good to eat it with.
I made it home right after Sweetums started work for the night. Kind of sad because I wanted to spend a little time with him today and I really didn’t get to at all. After that I started on a little work for one of my clients and was almost finished with it for the day when Duston came home with… more groceries. I had already stuffed the freezer full and there really wasn’t any room left in there, so I asked him if he bought anything frozen. Yup, he did. We settled on moving the remains of his ice cream cake into a tupperware container and freeing up a lot of space in the freezer, then stuffed it the rest of the way full. We won’t be running out of mac and cheese for a long time, since we had some already, and both of us bought more today. Same goes for rice- I bought a big box of minute rice at CostCo, forgetting that I had just bought a new box a few days before. Oops. At least it doesn’t go bad.
After that, I headed off to class, and did my 30 links in the pool. We almost had to cancel class because we didn’t think the lifeguard was going to show up- he was 13 minutes late, and after 15 minutes, Coach was going to send us all home since we couldn’t get in the pool without him being there. But he magically appeared in the nick of time, and into the pool we went.
When I got home, Princess was here, and we went to my mom’s. (See previous post.) Now I’m just waiting for 3:30am to roll around so I can get started cooking dinner for Sweetums. Its funny because for a girl who really doesn’t cook, I really like cooking for him. Go figure. I bought fresh veggies (bell pepper and red (purple? lol) onion and tomatoes and am going to cook it up with some chicken and not sure what I will put with it- probably rice though. I kind of want to mix things up a little, but not feeling overly adventurous tonight.
The other night, I was coming home form my mom’s and Sweetums was asking if I’d cook dinner when I got home. I said sure. Then he asked if I’d feed Duston too, and I said of course. I had been planning on just making some hamburger helper, but that will really just feed me and him, so I had to do something to make it go a little further. I made a quick stop on the way home to grab two big potatoes, and diced them up. I added those to the hamburger helper (Italian lasagna) and was really worried that even though I diced them up really small, they weren’t going to be cooked all the way through in time. I was worried for nothing, because it was delicious and cooked perfectly. Next time I think I would add a third potato, but other then that, no complaints and the boys liked it.
I also realized this week that my next chiropractor appointment is on the same day that I have to go to the Social Security office to hopefully get my payee info sorted out for my SSI. I think I am going to call them and see if I can’t reschedule it for Friday (the chiro) so my day doesn’t get broken up any more then it already will be.
