My alarm went off this morning, and as I headed to the bathroom to pee, the phone started ringing. I grabbed the phone, then ducked back in the bathroom. It was my grandmother, calling to make sure I was awake. I told her I was, finished peeing, got dressed, and went back to bed for 25 minutes. I was still tired. A few minutes later I was gobbling down a bowl of cereal, and jumping into the car to drive over and pick her up. Then we were on our way.
We went to her doctor’s appointment first, as it has a time limit, obviously. Her doctor was really nice, and he explained everything very well. As soon as we were out of his earshot, she proclaimed that he didn’t tell her a damned thing. She sure spent a lot of time agreeing with him though for it supposably being for naught. After that we went to my bank and the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions. That took about 15 minutes total.
She then decided that she would just keep paying her phone bill because it was due now and it was silly to tell them to turn it off when she owes them money. Knowing she’d been talking about getting it shut down for a couple weeks, I told her we were going in there and she was going to get it taken care of today. We went in, and it took less then five minutes to get it shut off, her bill paid, and to explain to her that she’ll be getting one smaller bill for the time used on the current cycle in a few weeks.
Next was grocery shopping. We went to Vons, and I was kind of shocked (and amused) to see that they carry gefilte fish. For those of you who don’t know what that is, I advise you to look it up. If you’re an adventurous eater you may want to try it, and if you’re not, you might just be grossed out. I sit with the latter group.
We grabbed sandwiches to take home and eat and then headed to the vet’s to pick up her dog’s food. She seemed worried that the three cases of dog food would not fit in my car with all her groceries. I told her the truck was empty, they’d be plenty of room. As it turned out, they are the little half-size cases, so all three fit in the backseat with all the food. Home we went.
I’m still tired, but being out all day was definitely good as it kept me busy and busy means I wasn’t eating everything I came across. I ate half of my sandwich (Subway- sweet onion chicken terriaki with avocados) for lunch and the other half for dinner. A few hours later and I’m a little hungry, but I’m not starved. I might make a small baked potato or something in a bit. So far, today is a good eating day. Okay I lied; Mom just offered me popcorn.
As far as exercise, I’ve done half of my DDR time already, and will do my arms as soon as I finish this entry. After that Mom should be done with the TV and I can do the rest of my DDR for the night. No dog walk tonight because we (Mom and I) had to put up an extension on the shelter we rigged up for the horse and donkey. Now if it rains, hopefully their butts won’t get wet! By the time we finished it was after dark and no one wants to walk through weeds and stickers in the dark with a dog tugging them the whole way.

And here, the loveliest of them all, is our Libby.
My Mom took this picture, and since I kind of liked it so I stole it.
