Wifey just contacted me this evening to ask if I would be a bridesmaid in her wedding in August 2011. I said yes. Of course the wedding will be up in Oregon, but it’ll be nice to get out of California again for a litle bit. She also asked if I would make the dresses for her bridesmaids and her Maid of Honor. I’ve got plenty of time to do it, so sure, why not? She said the dresses will be tank style tops with knee length hemlines, hopefully versatile enough to be worn at other times as well. The colors will be black and ivy green. Heh. I almost typed “ivory green”- what would that look like? Seafoam?
I also thought of another clothing item to try and sell on eBay. That top I got from Torrid that I wore for Sweetums’ perfect attendence banquet. Its a 2, and definitely too big to really wear again, especially if I lose much more weight. Looks like my list of clothes that will be going up have a Torrid theme. Then again, I do a lot of shpping there, so guess it is to be expected.
I’ve got another 40 minutes to put in in lab tonight and then I’m out of here. Depending on how much time I have ammassed, I may or may not come in tomorrow for an hour or so. Hoping I won’t have to, but if I do, then I do. I told Sweetums I’m all his from the time he gets off of work tonight until he goes back to work Tuesday night. I hope this doesn’t make a liar out of me!
I didn’t win any of the dresses I had bids on on eBay, but I did win the black and grey striped long sleeved t-shirt I bid on. No one bid against me at all, which was great. I paid $11.00 for it including shipping. Not bad at all for a (here it comes…) Torrid item. Of course I’m sad about not winning the red and white polka dotted dress, but it went up really high a good day before the bidding ended, so I wasn’t missing it by just a little; it was a lot.
Tonight I am hoping to get some more of the Day of ther Dead amulet bag done, maybe I can just about finish the body of the bag. I realized I will have to order more beads as I am not going to have enough to do the strap and everything else, though I should manage to do the fringe with hat I have. Well, I could if I had more accent beads ot finish it off with. Kind of tempted to try coraling on the fringe though and say screw accent beads soempletely. I’ve always liked how coraling looks, but its hard and very slow going.
I got some of the beads I ordered today in the mail, and I also got the Mary Kay make-up I ordered off of eBay. Can’t wait to try out my new colors when I get home, and to get a better look at the beads. Always love getting new stuf!
