If anything here offends you, well, that's on you. I write for myself, and no one else. If you like what you read or see, leave me a comment. I enjoy reading them and most of the time I respond back to them. And if you're one of those nasty trolls who like to leave equally nasty messages, I'm a big girl. The last few days Sweetums has been really busy working job number 2, even though he was off from job number 1. He’s been getting up early, save for the last 2 days, and I haven’t got to spend that much time with him. Last night Princess’ boyfriend had some car issues, so they brought the car over for Sweetums to look at. After that was done, we had a few drinks, and played a few games of pool. Amazingly, since Sweetums fucked up a few times, I beat him. Sadly, because my first two drinks were really strong, it was kind of like I looked at the table, realized I only had one ball left, and went WTF? How the hell did that happen? because normally when playing him, I get one or two in, and then he pretty much runs the table on me. Anyway, he scratched trying to put the eight in, so I got ball in hand and I won. Amazing! *giggles* I thought so and am all kinds of proud of myself.

Today I got up, smoked a cig, kissed Sweetums goodbye, and went into Palmdale to go to the bank for my weekly money, plus cash to pay my car insurance this month. Its due on Friday. I got my money for the week out, and went to CostCo, bought about $65.00 worth of food that will keep for freaking ever, and stuff that we actually use, and then went to Food4Less to pick up things that will actually go bad if we can’t use a ton of it right away. Cheese will keep a long time, but really the only kind of cheese that CostCo has that’s pre-sliced is American and I don’t like American cheese. I picked up some cheese, bread, raspberry preserves (my blackberry jelly is about gone), and a bunch of pasta and rice mixes along with some tuna and hamburger helper since I bought tuna at CostCo, we may as well have something good to eat it with.

I made it home right after Sweetums started work for the night. Kind of sad because I wanted to spend a little time with him today and I really didn’t get to at all. After that I started on a little work for one of my clients and was almost finished with it for the day when Duston came home with… more groceries. I had already stuffed the freezer full and there really wasn’t any room left in there, so I asked him if he bought anything frozen. Yup, he did. We settled on moving the remains of his ice cream cake into a tupperware container and freeing up a lot of space in the freezer, then stuffed it the rest of the way full. We won’t be running out of mac and cheese for a long time, since we had some already, and both of us bought more today. Same goes for rice- I bought a big box of minute rice at CostCo, forgetting that I had just bought a new box a few days before. Oops. At least it doesn’t go bad.

After that, I headed off to class, and did my 30 links in the pool. We almost had to cancel class because we didn’t think the lifeguard was going to show up- he was 13 minutes late, and after 15 minutes, Coach was going to send us all home since we couldn’t get in the pool without him being there. But he magically appeared in the nick of time, and into the pool we went.

When I got home, Princess was here, and we went to my mom’s. (See previous post.) Now I’m just waiting for 3:30am to roll around so I can get started cooking dinner for Sweetums. Its funny because for a girl who really doesn’t cook, I really like cooking for him. Go figure. I bought fresh veggies (bell pepper and red (purple? lol) onion and tomatoes and am going to cook it up with some chicken and not sure what I will put with it- probably rice though. I kind of want to mix things up a little, but not feeling overly adventurous tonight.

The other night, I was coming home form my mom’s and Sweetums was asking if I’d cook dinner when I got home. I said sure. Then he asked if I’d feed Duston too, and I said of course. I had been planning on just making some hamburger helper, but that will really just feed me and him, so I had to do something to make it go a little further. I made a quick stop on the way home to grab two big potatoes, and diced them up. I added those to the hamburger helper (Italian lasagna) and was really worried that even though I diced them up really small, they weren’t going to be cooked all the way through in time. I was worried for nothing, because it was delicious and cooked perfectly. Next time I think I would add a third potato, but other then that, no complaints and the boys liked it. :)

I also realized this week that my next chiropractor appointment is on the same day that I have to go to the Social Security office to hopefully get my payee info sorted out for my SSI. I think I am going to call them and see if I can’t reschedule it for Friday (the chiro) so my day doesn’t get broken up any more then it already will be.

The other day I discovered my Mom’s computer wouldn’t boot up anymore- it would turn on, but it wouldn’t boot. Since it was doing the same thing as my other one did when the power supply got fried (and it was in the same circumstances- a power outage) I figured it was just the power supply. I grabbed an extra one we had, and popped open the case. Ten minutes later I was silently cursing my father for buying the devil of all computer cases in which to build into. I could not figure out how to get the damned power supply out.

A day and $40.00 later, my friend James swapped it out for me at his place, briefly hooked it up to his monitor and made sure it booted up. I brought it home, and the next day had my Mom come pick it up.

Today I got a text from my mom… asking if I was coming out today to hook up her computer. Well, I wasn’t planning on it, but I can. I grabbed Princess, and threw her in the car, and headed out to Mom’s. When I got there, I hooked everything up, and pushed the button. Nothing happened. I made sure the power was on in the back and tried again. Nothing. I took it in my room, disconnected my computer, and hooked it up in its place. It booted up just fine.

I took it back into the other room, after hooking mine back up and making sure everything worked, and hooked it up again. Now it booted, but nothing came up on screen. I checked all the connections and everything looked fine. The monitor is on, and it has power, but nothing’s showing up.

Hey wait! What does this “source” button on the front do? The screen lit up with the log-in screen. What do you know! I made sure the internet worked, the mouse worked, the keyboard (speakers still don’t work though for some reason) and shut it down.

I still have no idea why it didn’t work the first three dozen times I tried it.

I tried to just repair my windows installation, but apparently I don’t know my administrative password. Funny, I swear I set it as something really stupid so I could remember, but that was a couple of years ago and since I’ve never had to use it before this… Anyway, I ended up having to do a fresh install, and what did I forget to bring back form Mom’s? My Adobe discs. *grumble* So now I am waiting til about 5am so I can call her and ask her to bring them to me.

I also tried to replace the power supply on her computer because she had an outage and its fried but I couldn’t get the old one out of the case. Still waiting for James to call me back and let me know if he can do it for her.

Apparently AVG Free is not updating things like they should be. In the last week, I’ve contracted 16 trojans… none of which were ever recognized by AVG. I uninstalled AVG and installed Kaspersky instead, and it found all of those and kindly removed them. The problem? Somewhere in there, those pesky horses have totally fucked up my system files, so almost everything I do, the computer freezes up and I have to force reboot. I am not a happy camper about this. This weekend (if I can wait that long) I’ll get the Windows installation disk and try to repair it, but I might have to wipe it all out and reinstall completely. This shit pisses me off. A lot.I can;t even doa  system restore to any point- I tried like 8 of them and none of them work.

Add in that there was a power surge/outage/something at my Mom’s and now her computer won’t boot up at all, (yes, we use surge protectors, but this will be twice now that they haven’t worked) and I have to play repairman to that too. I am hoping that its just the power supply and I can replace it because i have an extra one of those… but if not, I guess I’ll be calling James up and asking him how much to repair it for her. *sigh* This is fucking ridiculous.

I just applied for admissions into an online school for a certificate program in web design. According to their website, they have financial assistance for people who are disabled, but its not clear exactly what kind of assistance it is. We’ll see when they contact me. The tuition for the program is just over $7K… so unless they will pay for pretty much everything, I can’t do it, but  it can’t hurt to ask, right?
