Peony Root (Paeonia lactiflora) is used in Witchcraft for strong protective magic and as a lucky charm.

Wear peony root to protect the soul, body and spirit. When worn around the neck by a child it is said peony protects against the mischief of fairies and imps. Traditionally peony was carved into small beads called 'piney beads’ and then strung for this purpose.

Peony are particularly sacred to the Correllian Tradition. The roots are also said to protect against misfortune, bolster health, breaking jinxes, and draw good fortune. When burned as incense it is said to protect those who travel on water from storms and when planted around the home will protect the home from storms and evil.

In folklore peony is used as a lucky charm, a healer, to promote prosperity, a strong protector, in exorcism and remove hexes and curses. Southern style anointing oils are often made with peony and are used to dress candles and anoint the body, amulets and conjure hands.

Easy 30 Day Returns


We accept returns within 30 days of your order being shipped to you. We are happy to accept most full priced items back for a refund*, store credit or exchange within 30 days of purchase.


  • *Pre-order items (including shoes), items from discounted orders and sale items are not eligible for a refund and can be returned for an exchange or store credit. Only full priced, non discounted orders are eligible for a refund. 
  • Returns must be lodged through our return portal. If you do not select to use a prepaid label through the portal, please include a note that specifies: full name, order number and/or return number.
    Any returns received outside our portal will be processed as a store credit.
  • Items must be in original condition. No tears, marks, scuffs, animal fur, makeup, or cigarette smells. Shoes must be in original boxes with all packaging. Do not ruin shoe boxes by taping labels to them. We reserve the right to charge a box fee in this instance of $10.00. 
  • International orders of shoes can receive a credit or refund. If you wish to exchange please place an order for the new size and then return the original pair of shoes for a refund. If your order was not eligible for a refund, only credit, we will still refund upon receiving your return if you have purchased an alternate size of that item. Simply order the new size, open a return of a credit, and add a note in with your return stating you have reordered with the new order number included.
  • Items must be returned in as new condition fit for resale.
  • Makeup, intimates, some underwear, piercing jewellery, swimwear, herbs, hair dye or beauty products cannot be returned for health and hygiene reasons.
  • Final Sale Items cannot be returned. These items are clearly labelled on the product page in red lettering so you know you are about to grab an amazing bargain, but you will need to choose carefully!
  • If you have a problem with an item we will always work with you to resolve it fairly. Please read the section below "I got my order and something's wrong". When you have a major problem with a product, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement, store credit, or refund.
