First, you'll need a smooth, clean surface: buff away any dead, dry skin with a dry toothbrush or a lip scrub. You can then use a lip primer like Lime Crime's Ghost Veil to create a smooth surface that will also extend the life of the application. If you wish, now is the time to apply lip liner by lining your lips and even shading your full pout to increase colour payoff. When applying your lipstick, follow your natural lipline and word from the centre outward. Take care not to overload the wand with the product. Then, blot your lips and get ready to slay yer lewk!
HOW DO I CHOOSE A LIPSTICK? WHICH COLOUR WILL SUIT ME BEST?
When choosing your colour, keep your own skin tone in mind-are you warm, cool or neutral? There's a couple of ways to tell this: if you can see your veins, blue means cool while green veins indicate warm. If you find you look better in silver jewellery, you're cool while gold lovers are likely to be warm.
When you apply this to lipstick keep in mind that cool tones will work best with blue-toned shades while warmer tones are best to stick with orange or yellow-toned shades. E.g.: cool tones would best suit a blue-based red while warm tones will suit an orange or trie red best.
